THE PCs OF THE FUTURE

It's amazing to think how technology has advanced from a few years ago, to the present. It evolved from slow and huge processors that occupied a complete room, to computers that fit in your pocket.

However, work continues on improving the internal processes of the computers they operate, increasing the probabilities of processing. We also work on the size of the computers of the future since the smaller, the more we like the buyers.

The quantum computers

Nowadays everything we know and use around technology is based on binary codes. This is a form of coding based on the combination of 0 and 1 to represent different values. But, despite having built very large representative fields, it is not the only possibility in the mathematical world. The quantum principles are too complicated. It would go from processing 8 possible values to 8 simultaneous values. In addition, it would stop working with silicon molecules that generate heat problems and other materials would be used that would give a higher level of response. 1000 more powerful processors than the current ones will be.

DNA computers

The computers of the future could work on the basis of molecular representation. The first experience was developed when a structure of DNA molecules was used to solve a mathematical problem. Then the investigation was started to develop the probabilities that these structures have to react in a test tube also processing large amount of data. However, it has already been possible to perceive the capacity of this field to store information. In 1 cm3 of these computers enters the information contained in 1 billion CDs. This is how we can have an idea of what computers will be like in the future. Some people are excited about these possibilities, others fear the birth of a strange artificial intelligence.

ADVANCES THAT HAVE BEEN DONE THROUGH OUT THE LAST YEARS:

1.- Without cables

The Alliance for Wireless Power Consumption promotes an initiative for computers to stop using cables to connect and work only with wireless charges through a known technology. Some companies said they were already working on processors that have the capacity to load the equipment just by putting them on small tablecloths.

2.- Without passwords

The most natural thing that a PC can connect to is using the body as an identifier and that is the goal sought by both processor manufacturers and PC manufacturers.

 The PCs of different brands will begin to be approved in facial recognition systems through cameras that capture the body in third dimension or that integrate biometric sensors. It will be enough with the fingerprint or the retina of the person so that it can be used and even access some applications.

3.- Natural

Although each company points towards its own advances, one of the common paths is the recognition of voice through software. The intention is that these assistants homologuen their operation between computers and mobile. In addition to the voice, it is intended that the PC recognize better and better the movements and reactions of the body and take them as commands.

4.- To play

One of the goals of greater growth for the PCs are the high performance gamers that make up a sector that pushes very strong the evolution in the performance of the PCs in the creation of processors that offer greater performance in graphics and video.

5.- Minimalist

The computers of the future definitely challenge us to keep being smaller and thinner.
